Mardi Gras and gumbo, shrimp and river boats, the only thing that changed about the city moving under was the river actually. It was still muggy in the summers and the locals still threw their usual celebrations, using the main entrance tunnels as their very own streets for parades. Nothing as elaborate as up top but it was still home, still spicy and still oh so much fun.
After it was safe to come up the plants and marsh took over much of the city again, reclaiming the crumbling bricks and twisting metals. People have started cleaning and taking back parts, but many of the youth and elders still stick to the vaults until the time comes where it will be safe enough to wander without worrying about mutant gators snapping at you.
