Random Events
Out in the Wastes, you never know what you might find – or what might find you. In TL-FC, journeys outside the safety of Towns – and sometimes within – can fall prey to random attacks by bandits, wild creatures, raiders and the elements. There will be no warning and little mercy.
Random events are NPC posts to spice up your life, and fulfil America-mod’s horrible sense of humor! They will take the form of an RP post like any other, and mess with your survival.

Too bad, sunshine. No, really, there will not be a random event at every turn. However, if you definitely do not want a random event to occur, simply place “NRB” in your thread title.

Simply PM the appropriate NPC account.
[/li][li]Can I request a certain event or outcome? Can I send Raiders after this guy I hate?
That’s the spirit! You can ask. You can write letters to Santa, too. You may get what you want and you might not. However, Random Events cannot be used as a third weapon or combat skill. Requests to win you a fight will bring unpredictable results.

Yes, we will honor the type of Random Event you want. Mostly because America has no moral compunction against soaking Scotland’s shirt through for you C:
[/li][li]Can I use Random Events for plot development? Will NPCs continue to RP in the scene?
As 'Event' suggests, Random Events are not meant to substitute for or replace roleplay between members. However where appropriate, for instance in the case of a Raider attack, the NPC will continue to post as necessary until you write out of the situation (by fighting, running, hiding, etc.)

Absolutely not. Random Events will create a situation, and are subject to realistic rules of play like any other character in TL-FC. But you ain't in Kansas anymore, Pilgrim.
