Name:
Lili Brunhart

Vault 50
(Washington DC)
Age:
18
DoB:
July 2nd
Sex:
Female
Height:
5'2"
Weight:
95lbs
Appearance:
Lili is the definition of petite. She has a medium length crop of dirty-blonde hair that she attempts to keep tidy with a ribbon on the side. Her eyes are a deep green color; a relief in a world full of grey. Many people describe her skin as "like a doll's" which it is, when there aren't dirt and ash patches painted across it at least. Even with the harsh and rugged atmosphere, Lili is still a girl and is still drawn to frilly dresses, which is her normal choice of attire.
Town:
The bustling trading post town called Reno, Nevada, although locals have been known to call it Gomorrah instead.
Job:
Waitress at the Winchester saloon.
Pet:
A small black and white goat named Ziege. During Lili's trek from Virginia to Nevada, they found the baby goat. It was somewhere in Nebraska, and the was snacking on some dying corn. Lili decided to give it a better meal and from then on out it decided to follow her caravan.
Personality:
Although Lili is very kind and caring, she has adapted herself to the world around her. With the help of Vash and through life experiences, Lili has developed a tough side to her. Unfortunately this side is not usually tough enough. When faced with trouble, she will not retaliate, but instead put up with what she is against her.
Lili is also one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. No matter what you look like, the young woman will treat you with kindness and respect. This only goes so far though. As friendly as she is, she does tend to be a bit quiet and withdrawn, never giving much up much information.
Religion is a large part of Lili's life, and she can be found praying many times during the day. Even with all the evil in the world, she sees that God is the one shining light that will never leave her.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Lili is incredibly resourceful. You can count on her to find anyway to fix that leaky pipe in the back if there isn't a plumber around for miles. Or somehow feed a group of hungry travelers with just a few cans of corn and that cold chicken broth soup from the other night.
Even with the destruction of a lot of progress in the world, Lili has found some way to keep up with the tech that is available. This, and the combined pro of being resourceful gives her the upper-hand in a world like this.
Where she does not have the upper-hand however, is her strength. Lili is frail and small, and no match for any number of the things that could exist out there in the unsettles country. This means that when traveling, the girl must be in trusting company.
Speaking of trust; Lili is incredibly trustworthy. Usually one thinks this would be a strength, but it is not so. Lili is too trustworthy. With not much more than a charismatic smile and a kind word, she is willing to be your friend. There's a reason she works in a saloon, you know.
Equipment/Weapons:
Lili keeps a pistol with her (just in case), a run down laptop that is more often than not on the fritz and unable to connect to any internet, a series of tools and fix-it items, an unknown amount of ribbon, food for her goat, a picture of herself an Vash when they were children, and car no one knows about that she is fixing up.
History:
Upon word that war would be breaking out in Europe, a Liechtenstein couple (the Brunhart's) moved to America in hopes of avoiding the bombs for just a bit longer. During the first few weeks of the couple's arrival, they met a lovely Swiss couple who they quickly befriended due to their similarities.
When the bombings were heard to be headed toward America, the Brunhart's panicked. They really had nowhere to stay and ensure their safety. For weeks they prayed and finally one day, their good Swiss friend told them of a vault in Washington D.C. that was willing to take them in. They never knew just how many strings had to be pulled to settle this, but thanked their friends vehemently.
Lili was born in the vault, knowing little to nothing about the outside world. She was quiet, reserved and afraid to make friends. There was one friend she had though, and he was the most important. Vash was the son of the Swiss couple and had been there since the day she was born. They were constantly together adventuring around the vault. On a regular basis, they would be seen doodling, reading books, or simply just talking or napping. Anyone could tell they were best friends.
The years went on and they both grew up. Soon, Vash was old enough to go out on his own and was hired for a big-time job. This tore Lili up inside, knowing that her best friend was leaving, and that she would probably never see him again. Not a day went by that she did not think about him and worry, but she had to become a big girl, and live her own life.
A few years after Vash's departure, and after a teary goodbye from her parents, Lili found a caravan passing through the nation's once great capital and decided to hitch a ride with them. She cut her hair to her shoulders in the hope of creating a new Lili. It was time for her to head west, just like many had done so long ago on the same piece of land. It was during this adventure that she found that lone goat that became her closest friend since Vash left.
One starry night, when they had almost made it to Nevada, Lili had a dream while sleeping next to the campfire. She dreamed of Vash sitting with her next to the fire, talking with her just like old times. He asked her why she cut her hair, and about her goat, and how she had been during their long hiatus from each other. Lili was only too glad too see him, and acknowledged in secret, how handsome he had become. When morning came, she could remember the dream vividly but lamented the false hope it gave. She swore from then on that she would never cut her hair again. The only problem is, it wasn't a dream.
Lili made it safely to Reno, Nevada and soon began work in the local saloon of the trading post town. It wasn't long before she became the favorite server, due to her friendly nature and pretty looks (though she was oblivious to this.) The regular patrons of the saloon called her Eli (short for Elijah the angel of innocence) both because she was seemingly one of the last remnants of innocence, and because it sounded like Lili.
Along with living in a busy trading town, comes regular raids. But it seemed every time Lili was in trouble, a mysterious man that she only caught a glimpse of, came to save the day. Lili was drawn to this man and often imagined him as her knight in dusty armor. She wanted to meet him and thank him for all that he had done and maybe...just maybe, give him that kiss that the princess always gives the prince.
In recent times, Lili has begun work on a 1967 Chevy Impala she found in a scrap yard. She knows there is more to life than waitressing at a dirty saloon. So once that car is done, Eli the waitress will be left in the dust. Well, the waitress part at least. The nickname's kinda cute.

Through the ash covered sky, the sun still managed to beat down upon the dry Mojave desert. The town of Reno was no exception to the burning lashings, but that didn't stop business. Lili Brunhart's slim figure slipped to and fro between tables and stools, balancing the plate of drinks for the rowdy patrons in the corner. Work at the Winchester Saloon had not been kind to Lili this day, but that was nothing new. With a deep breath, the young woman reached the table and placed each brew in front of it's specified drunkard.
"Thyanks Eli." One particular local, the animal skin's trader from what Lili remembered, placed a large, fatty hand atop hers. The blonde's smile twitched in hesitance but with an always courteous attitude nodded, "Not a problem, sir."
The man didn't move his hand as she attempted to make her way towards the rest of the tasks assigned to her that day. "Yer jus 'bout the purtiest girl in Nevada, Eli." Her eyes closed in fear but she continued to smile, "Thank you, sir." Another jerk of her hand and she was free. The creeper had left something in her hand though. An old coin. Nothing of value nowadays, but he surely wasn't aware enough to tell. Lili made her way back towards the back room, thankful she had escaped the man.
Only halfway through the room though, another yell echoed through the bustling bar. "HEY. Eli, can we get some more...what is that? This food stuff over here?" The tired girl's free hand reached for the counter of the bar and she took a deep breath. In just a moment, Lili felt a friendly hand on her shoulder. A coworker and fellow waitress smiled down upon the girl's shorter frame. "Don't worry, I got it. Take a break." A sigh of relief escaped the young woman as she gave a simple thanks and headed out the door.
It was obvious to anyone who knew Lili where she was headed. The only problem was, there was no one who did really know Lili. The black, shining, Chevy Impala waited for Lili in the abandoned garage just a little while away. It was still a while until her work was finished, but that was no matter. Working on the car was relaxing. A drip of sweat fell down her cheek as she entered the drivers seat of the car. Soon her imagination came to life and she was booking it out into the desert and towards adventure. This would not happen for a while though. Her fingers drifted into the pocket of her dress, where the picture of her and Vash lay. With a soft kiss, she placed the picture against her heart and stared out into the empty wasteland. "Someday I will find you again, Vash." Her eyes closed tight and a true smile lit up her face for the first time that day. "And you too, my mysterious stranger."
